Before you begin
What you will put into practice
- Read the current seven-day runway first.
- Compare planned and completed blocks, protected time, and reflection coverage.
- Use outcome patterns, supporting intents, and blocked evidence as context.
- Check the current next action.
- Treat the local rule-based recommendation as a transparent prompt, not an automatic decision.
Open the local Goal Loop weekly review
In the Reflection Journal, select the active or relevant Goal Loop. The Pro weekly review is derived on-device from that loop’s local plans, completed sessions, and Close the Loop reflections.
The view is bounded to the current week. It does not claim an indefinite record, upload reflection text for analysis, or score your character.
Try this
- Open the Reflection Journal.
- Choose the relevant Goal Loop.
- Confirm the displayed current-week date range before interpreting the evidence.
Read the seven-day runway and four totals
The seven-day runway marks each day as open, planned, skipped, or done. Below it, four totals show completed versus planned blocks, completed sessions, protected time, and reflection coverage for completed sessions.
Progress-monitoring research suggests that recorded progress can support goal pursuit on average. Here, the counts are prompts for a decision, not targets that must increase every week.
Try this
- Scan the seven-day runway for where plans became sessions.
- Compare completed and planned blocks.
- Read completed sessions and protected time together.
- Check reflection coverage before drawing conclusions from outcome data.
Read outcomes, supporting intents, and blocked evidence
Outcome counts group saved reflections as Moved forward, Partial, Blocked, or Changed direction. The review also shows up to three frequently used supporting intents and recent blocked-evidence excerpts when they exist.
These signals describe the local records available for the current week. A missing reflection is missing context, not proof that the session failed.
Try this
- Notice the outcome pattern without reducing it to one score.
- Ask whether the frequently used supporting intents helped the work.
- Read blocked evidence for a dependency or finish line that can be changed.
Check the current next action
The weekly review surfaces the Goal Loop’s current next action, updated when a linked Close the Loop reflection saves a new one. Use it to reduce setup time for the next preflight.
If the next action is stale or vague, revise it in the next reflection or edit the Goal Loop rather than adding more planned sessions.
Try this
- Read the current next action aloud.
- Make it a visible outcome that could fit one protected session.
- Leave the cadence unchanged unless the weekly evidence points to a scheduling problem.
Use the local rule-based recommendation as a prompt
The adjustment suggestion follows visible local rules. It may recommend completing a linked session before changing cadence, reducing a blocked outcome, revising days or time window, narrowing the definition of done, keeping a cadence that is holding, or using the latest next action.
It is not AI analysis and it never changes the schedule automatically. Decide whether the rule fits the circumstances, then make one edit yourself.
Try this
- Connect the recommendation to the evidence that triggered it.
- Accept, modify, or ignore the suggestion.
- Change one variable and observe the next week.
Respond to a difficult week without character judgment
Research on self-compassion and self-improvement suggests that a less punitive response to mistakes can coexist with motivation to improve. That does not require minimizing a missed commitment.
State the local facts, name one cause to test, and choose the smallest useful restart. The purpose of weekly evidence is a better next decision, not a perfect record.
Try this
- Fact: name the plan, session, or reflection evidence that exists.
- Cause to test: identify one changeable condition.
- Restart: choose one next action or cadence adjustment.
